I remember when I graduated Lehman was so prestige that they don't even in fact consider my school. Can't imagine they lost 80% this year and the Koreans may buy them. You just never know...
I think the Chinese should make an offer at 20% of its current market value.

I hope not. China has already bought enough US junk 国债。My tax dollar has already been used to bail out Bear Stein, and probably will be used to bail out Fammie and Friddie. I don't want my parents' tax paid in China to be squandered again to bail out Lehman. 
When there was a bubble in Japan, the Japanese went out to buy raw materials, technology and other strategic resources or options. Money by itself is meaningless. I hope the decision makers in China know.
