3 lb beef (muscle e.g. shank, shin , rib eye)
冰糖
2 whole cinnamon sticks
八角 2-3 stars
花椒粉 1 Tbsp red pepper powder
dried red pepper (pinch)
dark soy sauce
a small ginger (拍一下)
the white part of scallion
put the beef and spice in a normal saucepan
put in just enough water to cover the meat

2 hours over low flame, cover the lid all the time to preserve the goodness



let it cool off, put it in the fridge. slice



dipping: minced garlic, sesame oil and the cooking sauce

keep the rest of the cooking sauce for 5 spice beef noodle soup
