I like the components, especially the disk brakes, 24 speed is too much for cruising in Boston
God, I love window shopping for this. Although I already have a mountain bike ( $100+ one from Walmart).
I really love to own this bike, to commute to Cambridge and Arlington, for fun.
For a slave like me.
how could I get the approval from my wife, again?

If I had a chance to buy another bike, I will go hybrid.
If you commute less than 5 miles one way, the $100+ Walmart mountain bike should be more than enough. 15+ miles one way is another story.
rim brakes work very well for me.
My mountain bike(Mongoose) have a lot of frictions. I tried to ride from Medford to downtown boston(7 miles). It was really a good workout.
I feel at least 50% of my energy was wasted. Although there are only slight slopes( not real hilly), it gave me a hard time going through.
I will go hybrid because it's easier to commute with it.
