United States Requirements for the
Citi Volunteer Incentive Program
Purpose
The Citi Volunteer Incentive Program is designed to recognize employees of Citi companies who devote their personal time to community service and to support the nonprofit organizations for which they volunteer.
To qualify for a grant, an eligible participant must complete 50 hours of service with an eligible nonprofit organization during a period of 12 months or less. The Citi Foundation will award a $500 grant to the nonprofit that benefits from your service. You may request one grant per calendar year.
Guidelines & Procedures
Eligible Participants
• Active employees of Citi companies

Eligible Organizations
• IRS approved 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations
• Public or nonprofit private schools
• Municipal service organizations designated as IRS 170(c)(1) instruments of state or local government, e.g. Volunteer Fire Departments

Ineligible Organizations
• Political organizations or advocacy organizations relating to the structure or affairs of government, politics, the state, or organizations actively supporting a stated cause
• Unions, and professional, social and fraternal organizations
• Religious organizations when the gift is related to promoting religious doctrine
• Organizations organized or operated for private profit
• Organizations that in any way support terrorism or terrorist acts or support other organizations that are in any way involved with or support terrorism.

Please note: Applicable law and Citi policy may not allow Citi to continue the employment of an individual providing gifts to an organization deemed by the United Nations, United States, and/or the government of the country where you are employed or reside, to be affiliated with terrorism. The applicable authorities may be notified should Citi have knowledge that an employee has provided services or is affiliated with an identified terrorist organization. Employees must view the U.S. government’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons list at http://www.ustreas.gov/offices/eotffc/ofac/sdn/t11sdn.pdf to ensure that the organization they’d like to volunteer for is not listed.

Eligible Activities
• Any volunteer activity that benefits an eligible organization including, but not limited to, board participation, committee work, fundraising, tutoring, mentoring, or neighborhood revitalization.
• Activities that directly benefit eligible participants or their families are not eligible.

How to Apply
• When you have completed 50 hours of service, fill out Section A of the attached application and send the entire application to the nonprofit organization.
• An authorized officer of the organization fills out Section B, verifies your service hours, and certifies the organization’s nonprofit status.
• The organization mails the completed application and required documents to the Citi VIP Administrative Office.
• The VIP Administrative Office reviews the application for accuracy and eligibility
